The ninth (from the competition tees) starts
with a daunting uphill drive over trees and gorse, the fairway sloping to
the left. From the other tees it is more of a nudge up the slope to leave a
low iron into a very receptive green. Anywhere short and to the right of the
green normally sees the ball run down the slope and into the middle of a
shelved green alongside the clubhouse.
The photo on the right shows the approach to the
green with Stonewall Hill beyond. |
